Multicultural Experience Through Travels at Morris Graves Museum of Art Nishiki Sugawara-Beda is a painter working primarily with Sumi-ink and water-based paints. Her multicultural experience through journeys and immigration from Japan to the United States as a young grown-up has developed her interests in exploring different cultures. To articulate the core of humanity, she investigates the connections amongst cultures both from the past and present, and she concentrates on following traditional Japanese activities back to their roots through her study. Bartosz Beda attended a Private Secondary Art School in Lodz, Poland, where he learned traditional drawing and painting.
